The Donations feature in Mysched allows businesses or individuals to collect voluntary donations from their customers after the appointment end. This feature can be used for various purposes, such as supporting charitable causes, offering tipping options, or even creating "Buy Me a Coffee" style contributions. By integrating donations into your booking system, you provide customers with the opportunity to contribute to causes or show appreciation for your services in an easy and seamless way.

The Donations feature is fully integrated into the Mysched appointment booking system, allowing you to offer donation options without needing any additional software or complex setup. Once activated, customers will be able to make donations directly from the booking panel or through a unique donation form URL.

You have complete control over the donation amounts. You can set predefined donation values or allow customers to enter a custom amount of their choice. This flexibility ensures that customers can contribute in a way that fits their preferences and budget.

How to Set Up Donations

Step 1: Access the Donations Section

  1. Navigate to the Donations section in the Mysched admin panel.
  2. Click Create Donation to start setting up your donation options.

Step 2: Define Donation Options

  1. Campaign Name: Enter a name for your donation campaign, such as "Support Our Charity" or "Tip Our Staff."
  2. Donation Amounts: Define the suggested donation amounts (e.g., $5, $10, $20). You can also enable the Custom Amount option to let customers enter their preferred amount.
  3. Causes: If you are raising funds for multiple causes, specify the purpose of each campaign so customers can choose where they want their donation to go.

Step 3: Set Payment Methods

  1. Choose the payment methods that will be accepted for donations, ensuring that the process is seamless and accessible to your customers.
  2. The donation will be processed alongside the appointment payment, streamlining the transaction for both you and your customers.

Step 4: Save and Activate

Once you have configured your donation campaign, click Save. Your donation option will now appear in the booking panel or as a separate donation form that you can share via a link.

Using Donations in the Booking Process

When a customer books an appointment, they will be presented with the option to make a donation during the Service Extras step. They can choose to contribute by selecting one of the predefined donation amounts or entering a custom amount. If you have set up multiple causes, customers can select which cause they wish to support.

After the booking process is complete, the donation will be included in the total transaction, and customers will receive confirmation of both their appointment and donation.

Donation Form URL

In addition to offering donations during the booking process, you can also provide customers with a dedicated donation form URL. This link can be shared via email, social media, or your website, allowing customers to make a donation at any time, even if they are not booking an appointment.

  • Donation Link Example: You can send a unique URL to customers, which directs them to the donation form. Customers can then choose their donation amount and complete the transaction independently of the booking process.

Example Scenario: Tipping with Donations

Let’s say you run a beauty salon, and you want to offer customers the option to tip their stylist when booking an appointment. Using the Donations feature, you can set up a tipping option with suggested amounts like $5, $10, or $20. Customers can then add a tip during the booking process, or after their appointment using the dedicated donation link.
