Overview​

The Coupons feature in Mysched provides an excellent way to offer discounts and incentives to your customers, helping to increase bookings and foster customer loyalty. With this feature, you can create customizable discount codes that your customers can apply during the booking process. Whether you want to offer a percentage-based discount or a fixed amount, Coupons give you the flexibility to create attractive deals tailored to your business needs.

How to Create a Coupon​

Step 1: Access the Coupons Section​

  1. Navigate to the Coupons section in the Mysched admin panel.
  2. Click on the Add Coupon button to start creating a new discount code.

Step 2: Configure the Coupon​

You can customize your coupon by filling out the following details:

  • Code: Enter a unique code that customers will use to apply the discount. Ensure the code is unique and not already in use by another coupon.

  • Discount Type:

    • Percentage Discount: Set a percentage discount (e.g., 20% off).
    • Fixed Discount: Set a fixed amount discount (e.g., $25 off).

  • Valid Date Range:

    • Applies From: Choose the start date for when the coupon becomes active. Leave it empty if you want it to be valid immediately.
    • Applies To: Choose the expiration date for the coupon. Leave it empty if you want the coupon to remain active indefinitely.

  • Usage Limits:

    • Usage Limit: Set a limit for how many times the coupon can be used (e.g., a coupon that can be used only 20 times). Leave it blank if you don’t want any limit.
    • Once Per Customer: If you want each customer to use the coupon only once, check this box.

  • Service Filter: If the coupon applies to specific services, use this option to select those services. If you leave it blank, the coupon will apply to all services.

  • Staff Filter: If the coupon is valid for specific staff members, select them here. If you leave it blank, the coupon will be available for all staff members.

Step 3: Save the Coupon​

Once all the fields are filled in, click Add Coupon to save the coupon. The coupon will now appear in the list of available coupons.

Managing Coupons​

Once you've created a coupon, you can manage and track its usage from the Coupons section:

  • Edit or Delete Coupons: You can edit or delete any coupon by clicking the options menu (three dots) next to the coupon and selecting Edit or Delete. You can also delete multiple coupons at once by selecting them and clicking the delete button at the bottom.

  • Coupon Search and Filters: Use the search bar and filters to find specific coupons quickly, or to filter based on their status (e.g., active or expired).

  • Usage History: You can view the detailed usage history of each coupon, including which customer used it and for which appointment. This allows you to track the success of each coupon and understand customer behavior.

Example Scenarios​

  1. Percentage-Based Discount:

    • You can create a coupon with the code SUMMER20 that offers 20% off any service booked between June and August.

  2. Fixed Amount Discount:

    • Set up a coupon with the code WELCOME10 that offers a $10 discount for new customers' first appointments.

  3. Service-Specific Coupon:

    • If you want to promote a specific service, such as haircuts, you can create a coupon that applies only to haircut appointments and offers a discount of $15.

  4. Staff-Specific Coupon:

    • If a staff member is offering a special promotion, you can create a coupon that only applies to bookings with that specific staff member.
